The Cleveland & Woodley Park Village helps senior neighbors live safely and confidently in their homes and engage in community events through the support of a network of dedicated neighborhood volunteers.


Lunch at Gadsby’s Tavern and Tour of Caryle House

Tour at 1:30 pm – 121 N. Fairfax St, Alexandria, VA

Join us for a trip to Old Town, Alexandria! Our day will start out with lunch at Gadsby’s Tavern, a traditional American eatery housed in a historical building that once hosted George Washington & John Adams. Following lunch, we will tour Carlyle House, an eighteenth-century historic house museum. John Carlyle, wealthy merchant and a founder of Alexandria, completed his elegant stone mansion in 1753. Today, Carlyle House is one of the nation’s finest examples of Georgian residential architecture.

*Please note that this event is taking place instead of the National Portrait Gallery tour, which has been postponed until Thursday,
