Our members live in apartments and houses in the Cleveland Park and Woodley Park neighborhoods. There is no age limit though our services are focused on our senior neighbors. We are a welcoming Village with both individual women and men and couples. Our current members range in age from 57 to 95 and anyone can belong whether you are still physically fit or require some assistance with mobility.
We provide a range of services to support our older neighbors who want to remain in the place they live yet may benefit from assistance with small tasks, transportation, or ways to be more socially connected. We are part of a national movement that has spread over the past twelve years as communities across the country have established neighborhood “villages,” designed to help residents through services delivered by screened and trained volunteers.
Our Village members are able to easily schedule services by phone or email. Our members benefit from:
Our service area is bounded roughly on the north by Upton and Tilden Streets, on the east by Rock Creek Park and the National Zoological Park, on the south by Calvert Street and Massachusetts Avenue and on the west by the Glover-Archibald Trail. If you have a question about whether you live within the Cleveland & Woodley Park Village service area, call us at 202-615-5853 or send an email to email@example.com
We have a great partnership with IONA Senior Services located at 4125 Albemarle Street, NW. If you or your loved one needs assistance that perhaps we can’t provide, IONA offers a range of services that supplement what our Village can offer.
